Curiously, she rose a brow, head tilting to the side. Her expression lost, she tucked her feet beneath her and held her tea in both hands, bringing the delicate teacup to her lips. "I'm not... I'm not very interesting, you know." She shrugged, blowing steam away from the surface of her tea.
"I have an older brother, his name is Christopher. I was born in France, but we moved here when I was too young to remember anything about it. My dad was from America, he met my mom while he was studying abroad. He eventually married her and, after a few years of living over there, he moved her, Christopher, and I back to the United States. I don't mind living here, I guess? I grew up in a nice house with strict parents that didn't really care what my brother did, but I was kept under lock down. It was pretty awful..." She paused, a faraway look glazing over her eyes as she reminisced upon some aspect of her childhood that she didn't want to state aloud. Chewing on her lower lip, she shifted in her seat again, fidgeting. "My dad got me into ballet when I was very little, and I am very good at it. I dance with the Pittsburgh Ballet and went to school for ballet. It's not a very intellectual major, though I did have a minor in music theory..." Again, she stopped, this time to take a sip from her tea, now cool enough for her to drink. After a long pause, she continued her story, looking increasingly uncomfortable. "When I was younger, around fourteen, my brother graduated high school and left to join the Navy. He was my protector, so I was kind of... Lost. He made his best friend promise to keep an eye on me, and Mikhail and I got rather... close, even though he was married and a lot older than I was. When I was fifteen, I ended up pregnant..." Her expression darkened, staring into the depths of her mug as if it held all of the answers to life. "Madelaine was a sweet little girl, but I couldn't stand to keep her, not when I had so many other things going on in my life..." FUN FACTSDOMINANT HAND: left
